Vincent Van Gogh,<\/strong> one of the most extraordinary, tormented and communicating painters of the history of art, was born right today, on March 30th.
\nI want to dedicate this short post to him not to say something new, but because this artist, thanks to his brilliant palette,<\/strong> has fascinated me since I was a child.
\nHis shining yellows,<\/strong> his hot reds<\/strong> and his intense blues<\/strong> through which he tried to \u201ccapture\u201d the life and the world charm me still today, as I have understood the burden of pain<\/strong> and the sufferance<\/strong> which are behind his canvasses.
\nThis unique artist left us over 800 canvasses and thousands of drawings, that are all extremely interesting to understand Van Gogh\u2019s human<\/strong> and artistic path.<\/strong> In his first works there is a great pathos, and the colors are dark and somber, they don\u2019t let us perceive the evolution that the contact with the Impressionists<\/strong> first and with Provence<\/strong> later will bring in the artist\u2019s life and in his art.
\nBut Vincent Van Gogh was also an extraordinary man,<\/strong> whose brittleness and whose sense of impotence become evident also in the several letters he wrote to his brother Theo.<\/p>\n
