Yes! Lent is coming, it’s raining… in a cold winter Sunday, why shouldn’t we comfort ourselves with a really Emilian menu?

ZamponeThe flavors and the smells are the ones of my childhood, when mum, a divine cook, prepared for us the best plates of the traditional Emilian cuisine.

I cooked for the whole morning, but the result is delicuous! Zampone,  potatoes purée, stew white beans and spinach.

Of course we drank a traditional Colli di Parma rosso, a frizzy local red wine. For Emilians wine must clean you palate and prepare you mouth for the next mouthful.

At the end: torta di tagliatelle. My modenese origins are obvious!

The diet starts tomorrow!
